Lent: Stewards of the Earth

Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 pm Craig Lounge

Recognizing that there is a wide variety of ways people journey through Lent to the cross and beyond, the Church of the Good Shepherd invites you to join us as we consider our stewardship of the earth, our island home. Kicking off our series, on February 21, is a dynamic panel from UNF, FSCJ, and the St Johns Riverkeeper. On February 28 and March 7 and 14, we will view and discuss An Inconvenient Truth and An Inconvenient Truth: Truth to Power. The series will continue with a presentation entitled "Foundations of Global Warming" by an atmospheric physicist who has spent his career studying climatic change and ozone depletion at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO. Our series will end with a sharing entitled "Spirituality in an Era of Rising Tides" by a beloved priest of the diocese, the Rev. Celeste Tisdale.

Join us beforehand for Holy Eucharist in the chapel, at 5:30 pm.
