Weddings

A wedding at Good Shepherd is available to our members and their children who have been in good standing for at least one year. At least one of the couple to be married must have been a member in good standing for at least one year.

The Episcopal Church and Good Shepherd affirm and support marriage between same-sex couples and opposite-sex couples.

All marriages at Good Shepherd must be performed by a Priest on staff at Good Shepherd. The Episcopal Church liturgy for marriage must be used for the service along with the Bible readings permitted for marriages. Only live (not recorded) sacred music is permitted in the Sanctuary.

At least one of the couple to be married must have been baptized. The couple must complete pre-marital counseling with the priest prior to the wedding.

Weddings are not performed during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent.

If you would like to further discuss a wedding, please contact the Parish Office.
