The pool that taught a city to swim!

With a large heated indoor pool as one of our unique features, we are "The Church of the Good Swimming Pool." The Pool is a community outreach ministry that fulfills the Church’s mission: to provide the Riverside/Avondale neighborhoods, as well as all of Jacksonville, with a welcoming, safe, and healthy public aquatics facility that fosters personal growth and wellness for all. We recognize that swimming is a great low-impact exercise that helps build core strength, flexibility and balance. Countless people have learned to swim (or just float) in the Good Shepherd pool. A host of regular pool members swim laps and exercise here daily. Come join us and get wet!
